What Is Alternative Drag?
Alternative drag — sometimes called "club kid drag," "monster drag," "genderfuck," or "art drag" — rejects the idea that drag must be conventionally beautiful. Instead, it asks: what if drag was terrifying? Hilarious? Confusing? Grotesque? All of the above?
