Priyanka
she/her
“Canada's first Drag Race winner. Pop star, host, icon.”
Priyanka is the stage name of Mark Suknanan, a Canadian drag performer, recording artist, and television personality based in Toronto, Ontario. Born in Whitby, Ontario in 1991 and of Indo-Guyanese descent, she spent her pre-drag career as a familiar face on Canadian children's television, hosting YTV programs such as The Zone and The Next Star for nearly a decade. Her drag aesthetic blends Bollywood glamour with pop-star polish, leaning into bright colour, campy charisma, and high-energy dance performance. She rose to international attention as the winner of Canada's Drag Race Season 1 in 2020, becoming the first contestant of Indo-Caribbean descent to win a title in the Drag Race franchise. Since her victory, Priyanka has built a career spanning original music, acting, podcasting, and hosting. She released her debut single Come Through in 2020 and has continued to issue pop singles and EPs, toured internationally, co-hosted the award-winning podcast Famous This Week, and joined HBO's We're Here for its fourth season. She serves as a special correspondent for CTV's eTalk and returns to the Drag Race franchise as main judge on Canada's Drag Race All Stars.
