Gloria Groove is the drag persona of Daniel Garcia Felicione Napoleao, born January 18, 1995, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A former child actor and voice actor, she transitioned into music with the debut single Dona in 2016, immediately establishing a signature blend of hip-hop, trap, pop, and Brazilian funk delivered with commanding vocal power and sharp lyrical wit. Her debut studio album O Proceder (2018) arrived via Som Livre and positioned her as one of Brazil's most technically skilled rappers working in drag. With the 2022 album Lady Leste, Gloria Groove achieved massive commercial and critical success, topping Brazilian charts with the single Vermelho and earning multiple Latin Grammy nominations. The record was celebrated for its Sao Paulo East Zone narrative, funk paulista production, and Afro-Brazilian cultural references. Collaborators include Anitta, IZA, Pabllo Vittar, Ludmilla, and producer Pablo Bispo. Gloria Groove is a multiple Multishow Brazilian Music Award winner and has performed on Rock in Rio, The Town, and Lollapalooza Brasil main stages. Openly gay and genderfluid, she is recognized as a defining voice in contemporary Brazilian pop, using her platform for LGBTQ+ and racial justice advocacy.
